Wharton Arboriculture Ltd was established in 2008 by Peter Wharton to provide independent, high quality professional advice, on arboriculture, urban forestry and tree management. Since the original development of the company we have now expanded into ecology, computer aided design (CAD) and digital tree mapping. The expansion and diversification has come following research into our existing and new client requirements.
Trees . Planning . Management
Our knowledge and understanding of trees, planning and management is applied to all projects, from one-off site assessments to the long term management of trees for health and safety reasons or to assist with planning and development processes.
Wharton Arboriculture Ltd has developed a strong client base not only in the Midlands but also in other areas of the UK, and within both the public and private sectors. We have been able to expand the business because of our ability to respond quickly to clients and our willingness to travel to meet and discuss requirements, which enables us to provide a comprehensive and efficient service which is both cost effective and innovative.
A large part of our work involves advising on tree retention for new development schemes so that buildings can blend sympathetically with the wider landscape and reduce the conflict between trees and buildings. Over the years we have developed strong relationships with architects, structural engineers, planning consultants, developers and landscape architects.
We have worked to develop new client relationships with land and estate managers to developed tree management solutions which are reasonable and practical. We have developed strong working partnerships with local schools and universities, NHS trusts and housing associations.
Our consultants have considerable experience of working in both the public and private sectors, and so we have understanding of the perspectives of both parties. This helps us to provide balanced and realistic advice and mutually acceptable solutions.
Wharton Arboriculture currently holds £1,000,000 professional indemnity insurance and £5,000,000 public liability insurance. Full details of these policies are available on request.
Wharton Arboriculture does not undertake any tree maintenance work to allow our assessments and recommendations to be completely independent. We do however have lists of suitably qualified and competent contractions for the midlands and surrounding areas, who will undertake any tree works to a high standard and follow arboricultural industry best practice.
