Wharton Arboriculture provides tree mapping and computer aided design (CAD) solutions to the arboricultural industry. We are able to provide technical plans to submit with planning applications or to provide details in terms to feasibility for development through to simple geo-referenced plans for tree management and risk zoning surveys.
We provide cost effective, prompt and professional plans for arboriculturists to in turn provide to their clients. We are able to provide plans in .pdf, .dwg, .dxf .mpd and .kml formats depending on the requirements of our client. With the use of AutoCAD, Keyscapes and PT-Mapper we prepare detailed and scaled plans as well as design plan templates for consistency of production to fit with your company.
A selection of plans which we provide are:
- To meet the requirements of BS5837:2005
- Tree constraints plans
- Arboricultural implications plans
- Tree protection plans
- Tree risk zoning plans
- Tree survey and location plans
- Basic daylight assessments
In order to provide plans all we require is a schedule of trees either as excel spreadsheet or .csv file and a copy of the site plan either as a .dwg, .dxf or .mpd format. The spreadsheet should follow general BS5837:2005 schedule and include tree number, number of stems, diameter, height, canopy spread in four cardinal directions and tree retention categories. It is preferable to have eastings and northings provided however not essential. Hand annotated plans can be easily transferred to GIS electronic based plans. We are also able to have plans printed up to A0 size and if required specifically for development site cabins have then laminated.
If you require assistance call us to discuss how we can assist you. We can generally have plans completed within 24 hours of instruction depending on the complexities.
